This free class will discuss ways to have a physically healthy pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum recovery and will also provide simple things you can do to treat any symptoms you may be experiencing. It is intended for women during pregnancy and postpartum (even years postpartum!).
Topics include:
The pelvic floor: Learn if you should be doing kegels, how to do them correctly to improve muscle tone in the pelvic floor, how to check at home if you’re doing them correctly, and how to prep the pelvic floor for childbirth and postpartum recovery.
Sex: Learn what’s normal and what to do if you have discomfort during pregnancy or postpartum.
Diastasis recti and abdominal exercises: Learn how to perform abdominal massage during pregnancy or afterwards to prevent or correct abdominal separation along with safe abdominal exercises to perform.
Scar tissue management: Learn how to take care of perineal or cesarean scar tissue to prevent complications like adhesions, discomfort, or tightness.
Posture and body mechanics: Learn about correcting posture and body mechanics to avoid common pregnancy and postpartum aches and pains.
Address any questions: Ask any questions you may have regarding pain, discomfort, leaking, sex, exercise or anything else about the pre and postnatal periods (i.e. Back pain, pubic bone pain, round ligament pain, tailbone pain, incontinence, pelvic pressure/prolapse, etc.)
